Providing information and education to the community regarding resources and services for pregnant and newly parenting families.

Our Purpose

To bring together programs, agencies and professionals who provide medical, mental health and psychosocial services and support to the perinatal population along the continuum, including preconception, pregnancy, delivery and the first year of the child's life.

Our History

The Central Texas Perinatal Coalition was founded in 2013 by Nancy Sheppard Alderman, LCSW with the goal of improving birth and family outcomes. The Coalition has now grown to more than 150 members.

Who We Are.

The Central Texas Perinatal Coalition is primarily made up of social workers, educators and health care providers, although we welcome any professional that supports the perinatal community and share the common goal of improving birth outcomes. Our members represent state and local agencies, nonprofits organizations and health care services, including March of Dimes, LifeWorks, SAFE, CommUnity Care, AISD, St. David's, the Texas Star Program, Seton Health Care and Any Baby Can.

The Coalition is currently chaired by Rory Hall, Executive Director at Adoption Advocates, Inc.
